DAY 01 ARRIVAL RIO DE JANEIRO
Arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport and transfer to the hotel .Overnight in Rio de Janeiro
DAY 02 F/D CORCOVADO & SUGAR LOAF WITH LUNCH
Breakfast at the hotel, We will drive to one of the older parts of Rio called Cosme Velho, from where we take the train to the Corcovado Mountain with the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer (2.300ft above sea level). A modern swiss-made cogwheel rail climbs the mountain from its base at 15meters almost to the summit at 710 meters. The trip up takes 17 minutes aprox, at a maximum speed of 15km/h. The trip down takes 22min, at a speed of 12km/h. Stop for lunch in a BBQ restaurant. After lunch We will drive to "Praia Vermelha" (Red beach), to take the two stage car up to the top of Sugar Loaf (270m), which grants the entrance to Rio's harbor and Guanabara Bay. The Italian made cable car holds 80 passengers and each of the two stages takes two minutes. The first stage is Morro da Urca with 170m, with a restaurant, amphitheatre and helicopter-point. The second stage goes on the Sugar Loaf itself, thus named for its resemblance to the loaves of sugar used by the Portuguese at the time of the city's discovery. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro.
DAY 03 RIO DE JANEIRO/IGUASSU FALLS
Breakfast at the hotel ,At schedule time transfer out to the Rio de Janeiro airport to take you flight to Iguassu Falls .Arrival and transfer to the hotel .Overnight in Iguassu Falls.
DAY 04 F/D BRAZILIAN & ARGENTINEAN FALLS
Departure from hotel and enter the Iguassu National Park, the largest in southern Brazil. Visit the Park's Visitors Center with its exhibit on the local eco-system. We then continue down the Cataratas Highway through the rain forest of the National Park to the falls. The Iguazu Falls are on the border of Brazil and Argentina where the Iguazu River drops into a gigantic horseshoe canyon. We descend a walkway, contemplating the lovely waterfalls in all of nature's exuberance, with panoramic view of both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. The walk ends at the elevator (one does not come back by the same route).
Departure from hotels ahead to Argentina side with a quick stop at custom check out. After that, the tour continues to the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguazu River, which separates the border between Argentina and Brazil. Once in Argentina, a scenic highway up to the Argentine Iguazu Park is taken from where the visit of the visit of the Argentinean Falls at Porto Canoas, which gives the access to the very brink of the awe-inspiring Devil's Throat, largest of the Argentinean Falls, including the San Martin Falls. (Lunch NOT included)
Overnight in Iguassu.
DAY 05 TRANSFER OUT
Breakfast at the hotel, At schedule time transfer to Iguassu Airport to take your flight connection.
