Caipirinha
This is Brazil 's national drink and it only takes five minutes to prepare it.
Ingredients
1 lime
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup cachaca or white rum or vodka or sake Ice
Cut the lime in to quarters then into crosswise.
Using a big glass put lime and sugar then mash them with a wooded spoon.
Add the same amount of liquor to the lime juice and stir it.
Add ice and stir again, or do as the Brazilian street vendors do it, they cover the glass with another glass then shake the mixture.
The drink is for one person but you can still serve it to many people by using the same ingredients.
Iced Brazilian Coffee
Ingredients
1 cup black coffee
1/2 cup cream
1/2 cup cachaca
4 tsp. sugar
Combine all the ingredients and shake, it is ready within minutes.
Guaraná Punch
Ingredients
1 can of pineapple chunks
1 bottle Très Brut Champagne
3 cans guaraná
1 bottle of grape juice (700 ml)
Mix all the ingredients together. This should be done two hours before serving.
After mixing cover it and refrigerate. If you think it is too sweet you can add a little water.
Batida de Coco
Ingredients
3/4 oz batida de coco
2 3/4 oz coconut milk
3/4 oz cachaca
Mix all the ingredients
Then add crushed ice in a large highball glass. Stir and serve.
Decorate with lemons and serve in cocktail glass.
Batida de Maracujá
Ingredients
45 ml cachaça
30 ml passion fruit juice
2 teaspoons confectioner's sugar
Shake all the ingredients using ice.
Serve using a cocktail glass and you can decorate with a slice of orange.
Samba Sunset
Ingredients
1 ½ oz Cachaça Fazenda Mãe de Ouro
½ oz Crème De Cassis
Fresh Orange Juice
Mix Crème de Cassis and Cachaça in a cocktail glass.
Add some ice and fresh orange juice. You can now enjoy your drink.
